1. The property
Klinger Kastle is a single-family lakefront home on Klinger Lake, St. Joseph County, Michigan (postal 49091). This agreement governs your stay for the dates you selected and paid a booking deposit against.
2. Occupancy
The property sleeps a maximum of 12 guests, including children. Exceeding this limit is grounds for the property manager to end the stay without refund.
3. Check-in / check-out
Check-in is 4:00 PM property-local time; check-out is 10:00 AM property-local time. Early arrival or late departure is only permitted with the property manager’s prior written consent.
4. Quiet hours
Quiet hours run 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Outdoor noise, amplified music, and gatherings audible from neighboring properties are prohibited during this window.
5. Pets
Pets are welcome only when declared at booking. A pet deposit (refundable, in the amount shown on your booking confirmation) is placed as a card authorization hold ahead of arrival, separate from the security deposit. Undeclared pets found on the property are grounds for an additional charge and possible early termination of the stay.
6. Smoking
Smoking of any kind is prohibited inside the home. Violation forfeits the full security deposit.
7. Security deposit
A refundable security deposit is placed as a card authorization hold shortly before your arrival — not a charge. It is released automatically after checkout and an inspection grace period unless damage is found, in which case only the amount needed to cover the damage is captured, and you will be told why. Deposit handling follows Michigan law governing security deposits for short-term lodging.
8. Cancellation
Cancellation refunds follow the staged reimbursement policy shown to you at the time of booking and locked to your reservation — see your booking confirmation for the exact terms that apply to your stay.
9. Local taxes and ordinances
Your stay is subject to Michigan’s state use tax and any applicable St. Joseph County or township short-term-rental or lodging-tax requirement, itemized as “Tax” in your booking quote and receipt.
